What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for creating email lead nurturing marketing campaigns to promote and facilitate a user’s relationship with the brand. Create marketing journeys to acquire, nurture, and grow customers. Introduce clients to new users, nurture leads, turn stagnant contacts into repeat buyers, and create successful customers using personalized journeys.

This person will be responsible for creating email campaigns to include building all emails as well as devising the structure for the lead’s journey. In addition to the pre-launch architecture, this person will be responsible for A/B testing, optimizing, and reporting on analytics resulting from each campaign post-launch.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work directly with our diverse client roster to develop and execute marketing initiatives across a variety of platforms.
  • Manage/organize client’s lead database
  • Create email marketing campaigns within the marketing automation platform
  • Ensure marketing message is conveyed and delivered clearly to target audience
  • Ensure messages are sent in proper form and template
  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
  • Develop a personalization strategy for each campaign to optimize effectiveness
  • Include specific graphics, incentives, and detailed descriptions
  • Review messages for brevity with the client
  • Ensure all emails and communications are mobile-friendly
  • Purge non-deliverable email addresses and opt-outs from each lead list as necessary
  • Include persuasive 'call-to-actions' in emails when applicable
  • Track and analyze direct and interactive email marketing campaigns
  • Measure results and optimize the lead nurturing workflows for segments to convert leads into customers
  • Use statistical analysis and reports to inform data-drive decision making when creating and making changes to email campaigns
  • Coordinate and monitor the maintenance, integrity, and security of several databases

Must Haves

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in automated email marketing

  • Conduct keyword research and make recommendations on appropriate keyword/product group builds to support campaign strategy
  • Analyze campaign performance to ensure sales goals and spend budgets are met
  • Execute appropriate bid modifications in support of campaign objectives
  • Work with Feed Vendor and internal stakeholders to maintain product data feed quality and implement content rules
  • Inform and educate broader L.L.Bean marketing organization through regular reporting and analytics
  • Collaborate with merchandising and product teams to inform campaign development
  • Develop, execute, and analyze ad copy and landing page testing across campaigns

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years’ work experience in a professional environment with a strong preference for 2 years of direct to consumer paid search experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google AdWords, bid management tools such as Doubleclick, and site analytics tools such as Omniture or Google Analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop action plans
  • Resourceful and self-motivated approach to work, with an interest in learning and growing professionally at L.L.Bean
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
  • Keen attention to detail and highly organized
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a marketing-related field.
