Our client is a high-profile, mid-sized therapeutics company located in Cambridge that is preparing to bring life-changing therapies to market for rare-disease and oncology patients.  They are seeking a driven, motivated Research Associate to join their team and support the development of a next-generation gene editing platform.  

The main function of this role is to support development and characterization projects for their mRNA platform for gene editing.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
•  Development of analytical assays for mRNA
•  Production and testing of mRNA to support development efforts
•  Assist with technical review of protocols, reports, and CMC sections for regulatory filings

Qualified candidates will have a BS or MS degree in a Life Sciences discipline and 0-3 years of experience.  The Hiring Manager is seeking those with hands-on laboratory experience (industry or academic-based research projects, internships, etc.), ideally with an understanding of nucleic acid chemistry, enzymatic and chemical reactions, PCR, plasmid processing, and molecular biology techniques (bacterial cloning, transformation, DNA prep, etc.).

Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely to be considered and must be commutable to the Cambridge area or able to relocate with very limited assistance.
